AL-MASJID AL-HARAM is the largest mosque in the world.It is located in the city of Mecca and surrounds the Kaaba, the place which is considered the holiest place on the earth by Muslims.The current structure of the mosque covers an area of 400,800 sq. metres which includes the outdoor and indoor praying spaces.It has a capacity of 820,000 worshipers but can accommodate up to four million worshipers during Hajj period
